Palmer Mini | My Approach to Family Photos

My approach to family photos is laidback and focuses on making memories because I believe family photos aren’t just for mom- they’re for everyone!!

Mini family session are perfect for families with younger kids (we’ll talk more about toddlers later, but for now I want to focus on the bigger kids)! First, I do my best to get the “boring” photos out of the way and then it’s time for some fun!

I’ve found that playing games and, if you can, having a surprise treat for afterwards can take the kinds’ experience over the top! I love playing ‘ring around the rosie’ or ‘red rover’ to bring out all the sillies and playfulness! The best part-the images are candid, full of belly laughs, and loads of fun!!

I love doing things this way because it facilitates memory making, and when the kiddos look back at their time in front of the camera they are more likely to remember playing with mom and dad- not trying to stand and smile perfectly.
